Project-Based Learning Fans Rejoice! #PBLWeek Runs from June 17-21

Mark your calendars! This  week is Project-Based Learning (PBL) Week (#PBLWeek on Twitter), which coincides with the Buck Institute for Education’s PBL World conference which runs from June 17-21.

Project based learning is an educational approach that holds that students learn best while doing. In PBL schools and classrooms, student learning centers around various projects, often cross-curricular and nearly always student-driven, to gain both knowledge and skills.

BIE is asking fans of the project-based approach to use this week to answer the question “What is remarkable about a PBL graduate?” From their PBL Week post:

“Throughout the week, we ask that you reflect on and share your answers via images on Instagram and video snippets on YouTube using the #PBLWeek hashtag. We will highlight the best of these on Pinterest.”

Interested in PBL but not quite sure where to start? Well, first there’s plenty on the BIE website, but beyond that here are some recent articles and resources that might be helpful:

Enjoy PBL Week; we’ll see you out there via hash tag!
